I don’t wear watches much except to work, and as a nurse I use it lots. When the date on my last watch broke I was forced to find a new one. I searched all over for a watch with a small face, white band, and date. I love the look of this watch and the ability to light up the face, and it shipped very quickly. When I got it, I noticed that it said “genuine leather upper” on the band. I’m no watch expert but I think that means that only the upper part of the band is actually leather, so I was a little worried about it lasting as long as my last watch (which said “genuine leather”), but the price was great so I figured it would be ok.

What I like is that it is easy to set, easy to read and nice looking. What I don’t like is that the face is a little deep, and the wrist strap is extremely long. I have small wrists and the extra strap goes all the way around and almost touches the face on the other side.

I had to get a white watch with a second hand for nursing classes. This one is perfect plus it has the Indiglo feature for low light situations. Water proof enough to withstand thousands of hand washings.

I was glad I found this Timex watch. My wife is an RN and had one identical to this for years and loved it. I had a time finding a match to her old one. She was VERY happy to open this gift at Christmas. Hope it lasts her until retirement ! !

Razor Child V-17 Helmet, April 7, 2008

Customer support at [...] was very helpful in sorting through which model of V-17 helmet is for children 5+ (small shell) and which is for children 8+ (medium shell). The children 5+ small one is the one reviewed here and was only available online at the time of this purchase. The model number is 97780. If you want the small one be sure it has this model number as opposed to 97778 which is the bigger one for 8+ years old.

My son is almost 5 and still this helmet was pretty loose on him. It comes with two foam inserts, one is slightly thicker than the other. However, they are not meant to be used both at the same time. We have to use them both (safety pinned in) to make it snug. I wish this helmet came with inserts that were desinged to be added to the existing foam to make it tighter instead of designed to use one insert or the other. I later saw another 5+ helmet (may have been a Tony Hawk one) at Toys R Us that had much thicker foam padding and fit him tighter…

My son did not like wearing his diego helmet. It fit funny and bothered him. He doesn’t mind wearing this one. It looks like one for “big boys’ (he’s five). It is nice looking and seems like it will protect him very well.

Great Fun! 29 LED Watch, August 13, 2011

I didn’t buy from this seller but the watch is a lot of fun! It is a big watch. The actual face is about 1.5″x1.5″. I bought the black band version. In broad daylight it’s pretty useless but is readable in the shade and awesome indoors! When you push the time button the leds go through a pattern of blinking before showing the time. I’m never very good at watch instructions and this was no different but not too difficult after a few tries. Paid under shipped from China. Hard to beat the price and it looks well made. If you’re looking for a fun gimicky not always practical watch, this is it.

It LOOKS really cool, however, the back piece that covers the battery and the insides of the watch does not fit at all. It doesn’t even snap into place, I’m not quite sure what to do. Also, I know this is a common problem with these watches but I don’t know how to set it! I can’t get the watch to even turn on. It was really really cheap, so it’s not the end of the world, but damn, it could have been so cool!

The watch functions properly. The face has to be at the right angle or you cannot read it. There is no way to shut off the beep when you push the button.

Men’s Timex does the job, September 13, 2011

I got this for my 83-year-old father with Parkinson’s disease. He wanted a basic digital with large digits, easy to read. He also wanted a strap that didn’t require too much coordination to put on and take off himself, since the Parkinson’s has affected his motor control, but he wants to be as independent as possible. I couldn’t find any digital watches that didn’t include lots of sports functions that he didn’t need. But this watch has a large display that is not overwhelmed by the other functions. He is happy with the watch, it allows him to keep track of the time, and maintain his independence.

I saw a similar watch when I was traveling to Seattle a while back. I had to have a white watch. I purchased this one about three months ago and I wear it daily. I love it and I get tons of compliments on it. It’s so easy to put on and take off. You will love it too.

Reliable? Think again., November 7, 2010

I do not advise anyone who is in the market for a while fossil watch to purchase one from Wristwatch.com off of amazon. Yes, the price of the watch sold by wristwatch is less expensive than most retail stores however, low price doesn’t necessarily equal good quality. I purchased the Fossil Women’s ES1967 watch a month ago and by week three, two of the crystals surrounding the face fell out. The only way to return this watch to wristwatch is if the item has never been worn and is returned in original packaging. How am I as a customer supposed to assume that by week three, the crystals in my watch are going to fall out? Plus, they charge you a .00 re stocking fee if you decide to return the watch for any reason. My advise, spend the extra bucks and shop at a reliable retail store!

I bought this to match my all white nursing uniforms for school…I wear it all the time though. I have had sooo many compliments on it since I bought it. The watch is very sturdy too, I’ve worn it everyday for the past year now and it still looks like it did the day I bought it.

I was hesitant to order this product online. I had tried local drug stores and even medical supply stores and not found anything that would give my ankle the support it needed. The cost was reasonable so I decided to go ahead and order. It is completely satisfactory, couldn’t ask for anything better.

Love this ankle support! I sprained my ankle playing ultimate Frisbee and bought this a few days afterward to help support my ankle as I worked. I work 12 hour shifts on my feet so a little support after an injury is a must. Now please note that this is an Ankle SUPPORT not a Stabilizer. There are no hard plastic parts and it doesn’t immobilize the joint. The brace is just neoprene to help support the injured ankle. I an a female that wears a size 8-8.5 shoe and it fits great. I haven’t played or tried to run in it yet since the injury is still pretty fresh but I will try and update once I do. Like I said, for the price, you cant find anything better. I would recommend this to anyone.

I’ve been wearing mine for a few days now, and they’re comfortable enough to keep on all day. They ventilate well when you work out in them, and they don’t allow your ankle tendons to take too much of the impact when your foot lands. Great for minor ankle sprains. Takes 20 seconds to strap on and off, after learning how to do it. Instructions are printed on the brace itself, which is useful. Also seems to be odor repellent, which is a super plus. Take care of your ankles!

Great choice for a VALUE bike!, June 20, 2011

The bike is a great value. Made of 6061 Aluminum, it is both stronger and lighter than bikes made 10 or 15 years ago. The shifting group on the bike is entry level but more than sufficient for this level of bike. The brakes are wonderful, and the tires, although heavy, are quite acceptable. The front shock is pretty much crap but shouldn’t cause you trouble (i.e. it is unlikely to break), only extra effort. Overall, though, it is hard to find as much bike as this at this price level. The big brand names cannot touch this bike at this price.

So, should you buy it?

To answer this question, you have to ask yourself, “What do I want out of riding?” There are many valid answers to this question, so think about it. Are you planning on riding the local gravel trail in town? Are you planning on short trips around with the kids? Would you prefer to ride actually two-track trails with roots, stumps, rocks and sand? The Diamondback Response Sport is a very good value in a hardtail mountain bike as you are getting a relatively high end frame design with mid range components. The modified top tube design is a strengthen design borrowed from higher end Diamondback models and similar to some Specialized bikes.

The only catch is that the shift levers and front caliper are not up to the same quality as the rest of the package. The platform pedals are OK for around town and park trails, but you may want to upgrade them for serious single track riding.

I combined this with a top quality suspension seatpost which I find to be the optimum combination of lighter weight and control with some softening of the roughest bumps. The Diamondback site and some retailers have a more complete description of which frame size is most appropriate for your height. The advantage of buying from Amazon is that you can readily get XS, S or XL frame sizes rather than having to settle for Medium…

Good Solid Bike!, July 6, 2010

I just got my D-Back Response Sport 2 days ago. Package arrived 3 days from order using the free shipping, Way to go Amazon!.

Bike was well packaged and was easy to assemble, however the Hayes brake instructions could have been better. Still not that hard to figure out. Only complaint is that the bike came with a Shimano Tourney front derailer and not the listed derailer. It works fine and shifts well so I’m not really dissatisfied. It also came with metal D-back pedals and not the resin pedals some people have replied on before. I’m 270 lbs. and wanted a strong bike, this appears to be just that. Time will tell and I will post follow ups as time goes by.

Seat was a little on the hard side for my big bottom side so i replaced it with a Sunlite Cloud 9 seat that has been a big improvement.

*Note* I got the 18″ frame and it is perfect for my 5’10″ size.

A great start…, December 27, 2009

I’m still waiting for someone to invent the PERFECT sports bra for booby runners, but in the meantime, the Fiona should be a go-to sports bra for all women runners with a C cup and bigger.

I have worked at a running store for two years, have been a runner for nearly a decade and have never been smaller than a DDD cup (although cup sizes are hard to quote because there does not seem to be one standard system- F, E, G, DDD- they all seem to be used interchangeably depending where you are). It seems that most women are drawn to the traditional racerback style (because that’s what everyone thinks of as a “sports bra”), but that design just does not work for us big-chested women. I’m always amused by booby women who dismiss the Fiona or Maia because the the hooks are “too annoying.” More annoying than an hour of your boobs flying in every direction (not to mention the pain)? Granted, the Fiona does not look as sexy as those Champion bras that work perfectly with a racerback…

I am a big 40DD, and i work as a dog walker, so i do a lot of running about all day. I read all the reviews on several different bras and have had champion bras before, but nothing compares to the comfort of this bra, i can wear all day and it doesn’t “bite” anywhere, no wire to break or poke you and it holds my large ‘stuff’ still so i can run and play without any pain or discomfort. I brought 2 and will be buying more. We are going on vacation and i know that i will be well covered in this very comfortable and fast drying bra. I have told all my friends that are big busted but active like me.

As a runner who wears a 32DD bra I’m always on the hunt for a comfortable yet supportive athletic bra. My favorite brand is pretty expensive so I thought I would try another that seem to get great reviews. When I received my Moving Comfort Fiona bra I did not have high hopes that it would live up to my expectations. The bra did not look or feel like it would do it’s job but I decided to give it a try. Much to my surprise, the bra did exactly what it claims to do. I had great support with little movement and I did not feel like my lungs were being constricted by the band. I love that the bra does not need to be pulled over your head (traditional band with hooks) and that the straps are adjustable. The straps do tend to be on the thick side which could bother people that don’t like their bra to show through their shirts and you always get a bit of a uni-boob but if you can get past those “problems”, it’s a great choice for runners.

Best watch ever – simple, elegant; lasts forever, November 20, 2006

I love this watch. It’s so simple (tells the time – what more do you need?), elegant (you can wear it with anything), and I’ve been wearing it for three years now and it’s not only still running, but it doesn’t show any wear and tear. It’s cheap, too – who needs a ten thousand dollar watch (except to brag) when all you need is a simple instrument to tell the time. It’s got 24-hour time, glow-in-the-dark minute and hour hands, it’s cheap, sturdy, and it’s just about the best darn watch I’ve ever owned!

Watch is good, to spec and as billed. Probably will “take a licking…” and last me at least the ten years of the first battery, as advertised, tho the ribbon strap may wear out well before that. Only problem is a lesson in Internet buying: it’s LOUD, as in TICK TICK TICK….

Pretty good watch – particularly for the money, May 4, 2009

The only legitimate issue I have with this watch is that it’s a little small (even on a relatively small male wrist). The size is difficult to judge from pictures of the watch alone. If you have a large wrist, I’d recommend a larger watch than this one. However, everything else about it is either satisfactory or at least what I expected from the description and images. The face is somewhat complex and I probably would be happier without the 24-hr numerals, but I knew that’s what I was getting so not the watch’s fault. I believe there are versions of this watch without the 24-hr scale, so if you have no particular need for this feature you might be happier with one of them and a less complex dial. No problem at all with the volume of the tick – you’ve got to be in a dead quiet area to even hear it – and then only when it’s within about a foot of your ear.
